How to play Number Recall
Open Number Recall, check the instructions and begin a round. Reproduce each number exactly. A wrong answer ends the current session. Look at what changes after your first action. Read the objective before making your first input. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
Try a deliberate move
After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Reproduce each number exactly. A wrong answer ends the current session. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Review the board or playing area as it changes.
Step by step
- Select Start again to begin.
- Memorise the displayed number without entering it yet.
- After it disappears, type the number into the answer field.
- Choose Check number; a correct answer opens the next round.
Controls
Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.
A useful example
If the number is 3072, enter all four digits in order. Entering 372 misses the zero. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Keep the game’s format in mind.
Watch out for this
This is a memory game, not a clinical assessment. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
